Private Yacht Charters
An overview of private charters in Grand Cayman and the ways to spend the day.

Charter booking and coordination · Grand Cayman
We help visitors arrange private yacht, catamaran and boat charters in Grand Cayman. You tell us about the day you have in mind; we find vessels that suit it, confirm the details with their owners and operators, and put everything in writing before you book.
Who we are
Short answer: Yachts Cayman is a booking and coordination service for private yacht, catamaran and boat charters in Grand Cayman. We do not own or operate the vessels. We match your plans to suitable boats, confirm availability, specifications, guest capacity, inclusions and pricing with the people who run them, and send you a personalized quote.
Planning a day on the water from a distance can be harder than it looks. Listings online are often out of date, inclusions vary from boat to boat, and it is not always clear which vessels can reach the places you want to see from where they are based. Our job is to do that legwork for you and give you a clear, written picture of what you are booking.
We arrange charters for all kinds of visitors: couples marking an anniversary, families with young children, groups of friends, guests staying at resorts and villas, and cruise passengers with limited time in port. What they have in common is that they want the boat to themselves, and they want to know exactly what to expect before they arrive at the dock.
We are not a tour company selling seats on a shared boat. Our focus is private day charters around Grand Cayman, from shorter outings built around a single stop to longer days with several, plus sunset trips in the evening.

How we work
Every charter starts with a conversation, not a booking button. This is what happens between your first message and your day on the water.
Send your preferred date, the number of guests and the ages of any children, how long you would like to be out and what you want to do. If a listing on our fleet page caught your eye, mention it. Rough plans are fine.
We consider which boats could suit your group size, your plans and the season, and which are likely to be practical from their departure points. We look at fit first, then at availability.
For each option, we check that the vessel is actually free on your date, then confirm its specifications, permitted guest capacity, crew arrangements, inclusions, pricing and terms.
Your quote sets out the vessel, the date and length, the departure point, what is and is not included, the price and the payment, cancellation and weather terms. If you are comparing options, we lay them out so the differences are clear.
Once you accept, you receive confirmation details for your charter, including who to contact on the day. If questions come up before your date, we are a phone call or an email away.
On the day, the vessel's captain and any crew run the charter and make the decisions on route, weather and safety. Your part is to enjoy it.

Why use a coordinator
Booking a private boat directly is always an option. Working through us is about saving you time and making the choice easier to get right.
Rather than contacting several operators separately and piecing together their replies, you describe your day once and we do the checking for you.
When more than one vessel suits, we present them on the same basis, with the same date, length and guest count, so you can compare inclusions and terms fairly.
Questions about timing, children, accessibility or a cruise schedule are easier to settle in a conversation. We answer them before you commit, not after.
Our standards
We would rather tell you something unwelcome before you book than have it surprise you on the day. These are the principles we work to.
What is included, what costs extra and what the terms are should never be a guess. We confirm the details in writing, and if something is not included, we say so.
Our fleet page shows reference listings, not live inventory. We tell you which vessels are actually available for your date rather than letting a photo set expectations.
The captain or operator decides whether conditions are safe and may change the route or the plan. We will never press for a charter to go ahead in conditions they judge unsuitable.
We expect charters to follow Department of Environment rules: stingray interaction only in the designated zones, no lifting rays or sea stars out of the water and no touching coral.
If a detail matters to your day, it belongs in writing before you book.
About our fleet page
Private yachts and catamarans change hands, move between destinations, take bookings from other clients and spend time out of the water for maintenance. A page claiming to show live availability would be out of date almost as soon as it was published.
So we are upfront about it. Our yacht and catamaran fleet shows reference listings: vessels with photos and the lengths they were listed at, grouped by style so you can see what a sport cruiser, a flybridge motor yacht or a sailing catamaran looks like and decide what appeals. Some of the photos may not have been taken in the Cayman Islands.
When you send a request, we check which vessels can actually be offered for your date, and that may include boats that are not pictured. Every detail that matters, from the permitted guest capacity to the inclusions, is confirmed for the specific vessel in your quote.

Grand Cayman is not calm all year. From roughly late October to early April, winter cold fronts known locally as Nor'westers can bring strong north to northwest winds and rough seas to the west and north coasts. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. We plan with that in mind, and we never promise calm water.
Whether a charter goes out, which route it takes and where it stops are decisions for the vessel's captain or operator, based on conditions on the day. If a change is needed, how it is handled, whether that means a new date, a different route or another arrangement, depends on the operator's policy, which we set out in your quote.
Stingray City and the Stingray Sandbar are the only places in Cayman waters where interacting with stingrays is allowed, and Department of Environment guidance there applies to private and commercial visitors alike. Rays must never be lifted out of the water, gripped or bent, and only approved food such as squid or ballyhoo may be used. At Starfish Point, watching without touching is recommended; if a West Indian sea star is held at all, it must stay fully under water.
On the reef, the guidance is simple: do not touch or stand on coral, do not wear gloves while snorkeling, use reef-safe sunscreen and never anchor on coral, using public moorings where available. The Department of Environment reports that coral cover around Grand Cayman has declined after disease and bleaching events, which is one reason we avoid describing any reef as untouched. Our Stingray City guide and snorkeling charter guide cover the details.

Get in touch
The quickest way to start is the quote request form, which asks for the details we need to check vessels for your date. If you would rather talk first, call or email us. We are happy to answer questions before you decide anything, whether you are weighing a catamaran against a motor yacht or wondering whether a charter fits around a cruise ship schedule.
When you write, include your preferred date, the size of your group and anything you are unsure about, and we will reply personally. Once your charter is confirmed, your booking details include who to contact on the day. Our contact and quotes page has everything in one place.
